well, if you don't get one of those extra 850 tixs then steve that
still leaves the politician/st johns ambulance/special constable
  options open.

and i know there's a lot of moaning about politico's, those elected
that is, on the list but they're just people no more or less than
anyone else on this list. if you don't like what they do then do
something about it. stand and get elected yourself and change
  things.
my erstwhile namesake (tho his given name was actually 'guido'
him being of italian stock) has been quoted as the only man to
enter parliament with honest intentions. nice and glib but how
true? there's plently i'd say have entered with honest intentions.
sadly a lot get corrupted and lose them though over the years
  there's some stodd for principles.
given my anarcho-sydicalist tendancies i do have quite a bit of
sympathy with "don't vote, it only encourages them' but when
it comes down to the nitty gritty i feel you should use it as (sans
revolucion) it's the only way to change things and if you don't
bother to vote then there's no point in whinging afterwards about
what they're doing. you had your chance and didn't take it.
when i've had a vote then i have always used it, even when
in local elections in huddersfield i had the dilemma of choosing
between a conservative and an NF candiate (i used my ballot
paper to write a small thesis on the need for revolution and the
  overthrow of capitalism and racisim)

do i take it there's no elections north of the border this year so
  no prosepects of councillor boocock?
