My guess is that this rumour was placed by some Leeds hater (prob MU
fan) [or Swansea] and they then sat back and laffed at us getting all
excited.

It looks like it was just another wind up. Better sources are still not 
expecting anything before Thursday (or Wednesday at the very) earliest.
TBH I don't think anybody has a much of a clue.
Thursday would be the usual pre-match Press conference at TA so if that
gets 
moved then people will start twitching again.
Cue immediate announcement of course.
