[LU] LU: The waiting is killing me

Is anyone else finding it somewhat difficult to concentrate on work
today? This is it, the big day at last when we finally get things sorted
out. Are you all like me marking time and fretting on the outcome?

Will Labour re-gain control of Leeds city council or not??  :-)

Hahaha no of course I didn't mean that - I just had to try to introduce
some levity as I am so wound up, and am sneakily looking at this website
and that, hoping for hints or some idea of what might be happening...

Latest I have heard (unsubstantiated I might add) is that the FL have
offered Leeds 8 Points back and it is on a "take it or leave it" basis
and they must decide by 12 noon today - this would not surprise me as it
gets the FL out of some of the mire as it means that Leeds have a chance
of automatic promotion, but would have to win to be sure of it, but it
also means that the other teams with a chance still retain a chance of
being promoted. It is said that this is what is what is being reported
by the YEP, yet there is nothing on their website! Anyone know if this
has any basis in fact or could it be just another wind up rumour?

Watching the clock doesn't help either - at my office we have had that
little man in who normally only arrives at Friday lunchtime - you know
the fella, the one who sets the clock to run at half speed for that
afternoon (then later on visits your home to set your clocks to double
speed for the whole weekend to compensate) - well he has obviously been
around early this week at my office as the time is moving so slowly!

If this goes on any longer I may need to have a long telephone chat with
Dr Mike  ;-)
