perchance it could be that the they realize it wasn't a penalty,
leastwise according to the reports here of the game.
ie:
> A cross was fired at Hughes from a foot away - it hit him on the head and no-one appealed but the lino saw it differently to everyone else in the ground and on the pitch, and felt that since Hughes had jumped up with his arms in the air (star jump) it must be a handball and gave a pen - unbelievable.
and thus aren't counting it.
in which case can we can we have the other two points as well?
that way with the 15 points back later today we can be champions
at the w/e without relying on swansea slipping up.
BTW on Today, R4, this morning they said the announcement of
the tribunal's decision will be at 17.15 (UK time) so patience when
you don't hear anything dead on five.
FAO Dr Mike, irsaelis and others:
did you listen to the crossing continents programme "football in the
holy land" or download the podcast?
It's more socioloical/cultrual than just a football story and something
of an indicment of what's going on over there.
incidentally the BBC World Service are now broadcasting it in the
Assignement slot.
