bet they don't call it a bank holiday though.
holiday here to (a 'feestdag' - literally feast/party/celebration day)
actually a double feestdag being both ascension day and may day
and yesterday was koninginnnedag (queens day) which is more or
less a feestdag (though a few supermarkets open) when the whole
country goes more or less mad, some doing the monarchy bit getting
flags out, etc and mostly everyone taking part in the 'free markets',
getting out on the street, wherever, selling whatever they want from
junk in the attic to anything they can get their hands on and if not
selling walking through buying. then there's eating, drinking, music
with assorted free concerts, performances, 5, 6 7 year olds (and
upwards struggling away playing violins (makes you realize the
  significance of using catgut)

tagentially on the PPL's thing my brother-in-law's got one.
not into footie though. he's much more a biker - tt, motocross, gp ...

  verner, 'ows thee doing?
did you get my sms from belfast t'other week as heard nowt back.

  guy
