Dave,
I completely agree with you. I'm an Englands fans member too and think
that for games like this a loyalty scheme should be used. I think it's
a joke that there will be a massive scramble for tickets and that the
extra 10,000 or so who turned up on Saturday will be on the hunt for
these tickets after not going all year.

> I see that ASTs apart, it is first come first served for tickets for away leg at Carlisle !
> This means that a ST holder or member * who has gone to no away games all season has the same chance of a ticket as a ST holder or member who has been to every away game !
>
> To my way of thinking this cannot be right - surely those fans who have travelled the length and breadth of the country to watch the team deserve to get a ticket for the biggest away game of the season ahead of those who have not been to (m)any ?
>
> I know some fans are unable to get to aways but lets face it the majority don't go by choice - they have more pressing \ important things to do.
>
> It is not a question of being a "bigger \ better" fan, it is about who is most deserving of a ticket for a particular game.
>
> Also it is not an "I'm all right Jack" argument on my behalf - I have only been to 14 away games so have no idea if I would qualify as one of the most attended 1300 (after ASTs)
> I have always argued at both club and England level that those who attend most of the less important fixtures should get priority for the big games - I have said this even on occasions when I have been to very few aways (eg when my kids were young and time and money were at a premium)
>
> If I miss out tomorrow to people who have been to more games than me then that is fine but if I miss out and find on here \ waccoe etc that fans who will be going to their first away game of the season I will be very pissed off.
>
> To my mind after years of trying various things England have got it right - one cap for a home game \ 2 for away \ caps only last 2 years and then 75% of tickets are given to those with most caps who apply and the other 25% go in a ballot - this allows fans to 'get on the ladder'
>
> Even this season quite a number of our aways games were not sold out or were only sold out at the last minute so the 'loyalty' scheme would only have been needed for a few games.

> * we do have a 85% ST holders and 15% members split
