[LU] and another thing re Carlisle away leg applications

Dave,

I feel exactly the same.  On Friday afternoon my mate rang me and said that 
if you sent an email applying for the away leg, regardless of which date it 
was on, and provided your ST number and payment details then they'd accept 
that as an application.  I went to buy my home ticket in person on Saturday 
morning (amazingly there was no queue, hence a few hours in the Peacock beer 
garden before the Gills game and the drunken emails during it :-) ) and 
asked the girl there if this was true: she said it was.  So an email was 
sent.  Then the official details were released.  I'm applying by post, but 
I'm hand delivering the letter tomorrow morning.  Fuck knows if this will 
work, but I feel the same as you.  There should be some sort of loyalty 
scheme.  I've done York, Tranmere, Forest, Hudds, PortVale, Donny, Carlisle 
& Oldham (and I had pneumonia for the last two!) this season.  I also 
applied for Yoevil, but had to cancel that when they changed it to Friday 
night because I could get the time away from work.  If I didn't get a ticket 
because other lads had done more aways than me, then I'd have no complaints, 
but I will be pissed off if next Thursday turns out to be some people's 
first away of the season.

I'm considering writing to Bates and suggesting he forms some sort of 2008 
club for this season's ST holders.  We put up when the club was at its 
lowest ebb and we should get some recognition for this: First choice on the 
Champions League tickets in 2015 would be nicw :-)
