I should have remembered that. Sorry it was a long time ago and the mind is failing me. All I know is that as a London based leeds fan I had to sit with the home fans next to the biggest fattest skinhead I have ever seen. Despite admirable attempts to appear nonchalant he became increasingly agitated and suspicious. Luckily he left with 15 minutes to go and I survived. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Deels" To: leedslist at list.zetnet.co.uk Sent: Wednesday, November 4, 2009 4:35:41 PM GMT -05:00 US/Canada Eastern Subject: [LU] FW: Last Leeds Match for expats (Was Brian Clough's IPhone) October?!? It were August, first day of the season. In fact it was the day that the Scum fielded a young team at Aston Villa, and famously went down 3-0 (prompting Alan Hansen's comment that "You don't win anything with kids"). Impressively, the Leeds end at Upton Park, hearing this excellent news, came up with this taunt to the home fans - "You're going down with ManU, You're going down with ManU..." Sadly even more wrong than Hansen. Happy happy days all the same. My last Leeds game was at West Ham with Nigel the year we got Rio Ferdinand. Added to that I took Thing1 and Thing2 - who are now 12 - to see The Damned United at the Bethesda Maryland arty-farty cinema last week. I made the Arsenal- and Manchester United- supporting brats wear their Leeds tops which are from the bet24 era. To my surprise the Cinema was absolutely jam packed - and this at 2.30pm on a Saturday afternoon. Of course The Michael Sheen guy was magnificent but bugger me, Colm Meaney was Don Revie. Absolutely fantastic. I still contend - as I did on this list about 13 years ago - that Brian Clough was a brilliant manager. But the film makers made The Don look really bad and let's face it - he had done almost everything that they were already celebrating Cloughie for - but two Euro cups on the trot is not to be sniffed at. Although that guy who was the wee cockney wide boy in Snatch was a piss-poor Billy Bremner. Anyway. the Championship and the Premiership are beckoning. Simon Grayson is brilliant. Keep up the match reports y'all. If the WIFI logo is grey, data is still going over GPRS/EDGE/3G as your BB has not negotiated a WIFI connection correctly. Hope that helps. Steve. Matt is somewhere glamorous and warm with only a vibrating Blackberry to keep him company... ...Got a Bold for work and I am currently in a free wifi zone overseas but stupidly expensive data roaming costs if I can pick up a 3g network. I have done nothing to the phone other than set up work personal and list email pop3 accounts on it. I tried to turn phone off and just have wifi on to send email (fairly logical) but it won't let me email through wifi. I must do it through the phone. Anyone know why or a quick fix I can do whilst on a remote se asian island?
