What incident is this? is this O leary you are referring to?

what really really gets to me with this is how nobody I have seen have
mentioned the fact that the french did not get a clear penalty
3 mins before this happened. Typically a penalty is a goal and in this
instance shay given should have been red carded too.
put those two incidents together and theres no more drama.

anyways, let that be my final words with this incident. back to LUFC for me.

Ladies and gentlemen, let me add some comments to the current subject.  
First and foremost, may I apologise for starting the Canada colonies 
bit.  It went too far and too long.

This time, it could be suggested someone will dig even deeper than I and 
probably go too far as well.

There is talk about Barrow and Chester......two football clubs quite a 
few years ago, who were in the football association proper.  Probably 
division 3 north as I recall.
It may interest you on a rather dull day to take a look at the clubs who 
are in the lower division....but were not too many years ago....then go 
to the conference and lower and remind yourselves, just how many clubs 
used to be in the third north and south.  Yes, the game has changed over 
the years....but so have the clubs who were once, a mainstay, albeit, in 
the same leagues as we once knew.  Divisions One, Two and Three North 
and South.....before the Premier League came into being.
Hells bells, thankfully they're fighting back...but the Yorkshire 
capital city of York not even in the so-called main league as it always 
was for eons.  So many upstarts appeared, and then went back from whence 
they came.  I'm not trying to develop a book.....I'm merely recalling 
how the picture has changed...probably for the worse.

And while I'm at it......let's compare the gentleman's game of cricket 
(as I recall it) to that of soccer (association football as I recall 
it).  Had it been a game of cricket and Thierry Henry was at bat, he 
would have automatically walked to the pavilion without waiting for an 
umpire's call.  But it was not cricket...nor was it in 1966, nor was it 
with that fat bugger Maradona some years later.  I saw the hand ball, 
watching the game....and the ref missed it.....too bad!!!  Also too bad, 
Henry doesn't have the guts to admit he handled the ball, and to his 
team's advantage.  Vive la France?......no mange la merde!

No fans I know think Johnson has been the player of the season - maybe most improved but that wouldn't be hard seeing as he was by far the worse player last season. 

3-0 Leeds Kilkenny. Our midfield is better without Johnson despite his goals this season.

Gus Poyet put Smith between the posts because FDM's groin was still strained. Murray and Forster returned, following that FA Cup replay non-event at Tongdean Lane this week. Gus and his Argy henchman Mauro were assisted from the dugout by old London boy Oatway, who apparently is fluent in global soccer speak.

GOALS; 27 min. Albion got out of the blocks and moved the ball about quickly. But Leeds aren't top for nowt. A snap-shot eluded Smith for position and athleticism. 0-1 - heads dropped and it was too much for some.
43 min. Inexperienced defenders and keeper were caught out by a quality striker to a long ball. 0-2 - we'd lost.
90 min. Gus got 'em to push on with inevitable consequences. 0-3 - a bad day at the theatre of horror.

TACTICAL ADJUSTMENT; Poyet had a think and decided to replace Whing and Cox with twenty minutes to go. Navarro sat in front of defence, while McLeod ran about out left. With ten mins to go, GP threw caution to the s-w gale and introduced C Davies for El-Abd. His formation then was 2-1-4-3. It made some difference but only in terms of arithmetic.

TOP UP, BOTTOM DOWN; sadly we are what we are and sorry to say Leeds were blinking marvellous. B'ton slipped to just above relegation places and the gulf in points, skill levels and strategic approach got wider.

ALBI HOVE SAID; 'fair play to United, they strolled thru and showed us why they are going up. Poyet will have learned a lot today and it gives him a measure of where we are as a team. Whether he can change individuals to fit his version of bread and soft butter footy is debatable.'

OLD FRED SAID; 'you can't teach an old dog, new tricks. Our lot hear what Poyet says but it's in one lug and out the other. Is he talking in a foreign language or what?'

SIMON SAYS; 'Leeds are streets ahead of anything else in our league at the moment and Championship bound without a doubt. They work even harder off the ball than they do on it, and the reason we looked so poor and had so few chances was because they cut off all creativity at source. There is no doubt we have been well beaten today, but it is not something to get upset about. Sometimes, you just have to accept where you are.'
